Role : Business Analyst (5+ Years)

Location : Chennai

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to work closely with Product Owners (POs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand business requirements and translate them into detailed, structured, and implementation-ready specifications. The role involves managing backlog refinement, documenting business rules, defining identity and access workflows, and ensuring clear traceability throughout the development and testing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- Conduct regular backlog refinement sessions with the Product Owner (PO) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand, analyse, and clarify business requirements.

- Create well-defined user stories with clear descriptions, business context, and Given/When/Then acceptance criteria.

- Prepare detailed, agent-ready specifications covering business context, functional requirements, business rules, edge cases, examples, and sample data.

- Define and maintain role and permission matrices to establish access levels and user responsibilities across the system.

- Document agency and user lifecycle processes, including onboarding, delegation, user management, deactivation, and related access requirements.

- Identify and document system configuration requirements, business rules, and process dependencies.

- Leverage AI tools to draft and refine user stories, business rules, decision tables, and test scenarios, ensuring all outputs are validated against business policies and SME inputs.

- Work with stakeholders to resolve requirement gaps, clarify functional expectations, and ensure consistency across specifications.

- Maintain end-to-end traceability between business requirements, user stories, test cases, and reported defects.

- Coordinate with development and testing teams to clarify requirements and support implementation activities.

- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate business scenarios, review outcomes, and assist with business acceptance.

Key Areas :

- Identity and access management, agency and user setup and onboarding, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), user lifecycle management, business rules, and system configuration.

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of requirements engineering and business requirement documentation.

- Knowledge of BPMN, business process modelling, workflow documentation, and decision tables.

- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for backlog management, user story tracking, and requirement traceability.

- Ability to understand and interpret data models and APIs from a functional perspective.

- Understanding of identity and access management concepts, role-based permissions, and onboarding workflows.

- Ability to use AI tools to support requirements documentation, business rule definition, and test scenario preparation.
