Role Overview :

As an AI Principal Engineer, you will spearhead the design and implementation of advanced artificial intelligence systems that power Justdial's core search and interaction platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering and product teams to architect scalable AI solutions, specifically focusing on large language models and voice-based interfaces. Your work will directly influence the efficiency of user interactions, the accuracy of automated systems, and the overall intelligence of the platform, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of daily users.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and deploy robust AI models, specifically leveraging LLM frameworks to enhance search relevance and user query understanding.

- Lead the development and optimization of voice bot technologies to improve the quality and naturalness of automated customer interactions.

- Design and manage scalable AI infrastructure, including the integration of Live Kit technologies to support real-time communication and data processing.

- Oversee large-scale data labelling efforts to ensure high-quality training datasets that improve model performance and reliability.

- Drive the strategy for automated transcriptions, ensuring high accuracy and low latency for voice-to-text processing across the platform.

- Mentor senior engineering teams by providing technical guidance on AI architecture and best practices for production-grade machine learning systems.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building and deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) and complex AI architectures in high-traffic production environments.

- Proven ability to design and scale voice bot solutions and real-time communication frameworks like Live Kit.

- Strong proficiency in managing end-to-end machine learning pipelines, including data labelling strategies and transcription optimization.

- Exceptional communication skills to translate complex technical AI concepts into actionable business strategies for stakeholders.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site work environment in Bangalore, collaborating effectively across diverse technical teams.

- A minimum of 7 - 12 years of professional experience in AI engineering, with a track record of delivering high-impact technical solutions.
