The Opportunity :

Credit and asset-based finance still runs on manual document review, spreadsheets and judgment calls made under time pressure. Converge is rebuilding that workflow from the ground up: an AI-powered platform that combines automation, intelligent document processing and credit decisioning.

This is an early, high-ownership engineering seat. There is no legacy codebase to maintain and no layer of process between you and the product. You will help shape the architecture, and the decisions you make will show up in how real financial institutions operate.

What You Will Own :

- Product surfaces : Design and ship the interfaces that underwriters and credit teams rely on in critical workflows.

- Platform backbone : Architect backend services and APIs that stay fast and reliable as data volumes and customers grow.

- Document intelligence : Build pipelines that turn unstructured financial documents into clean, trustworthy, decision-ready data.

- Applied AI in production : Take LLM and automation capabilities from prototype to systems that hold up under real-world load.

- Data at scale : Model, query and optimise large, complex datasets in PostgreSQL.

- Engineering direction : Influence technical choices on performance, reliability and scalability from day one.

Who Thrives Here :

Foundation :

- B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science or a related discipline from a Tier-1 engineering institute (IIT, NIT, BITS, IIIT or equivalent)

- 3+ years of professional experience shipping full-stack products

- Recent experience at a product-led technology company or a strong, engineering-driven startup

Technical depth :

- Strong hands-on command of Node.js and PostgreSQL

- Solid working experience with React and Python

- Sound understanding of backend architecture, API design, databases and scalable systems

- Track record of taking features from idea to development to production

- Comfortable with ambiguity and ready to take ownership

- Cares about product quality as much as code quality

Strong Differentiators :

- Systems built at meaningful scale

- Prior experience with high product ownership as an engineer
